Solah singar is the sixteen-part adornment ritual described in Indian tradition — from the maang tikka at the parting of the hair down to the payal at the ankle. We named the shop after it because that is what we sell: not one piece, but the whole idea of getting ready.
What we stock
Imitation jewellery — bangles, bracelets, haars, pendant sets, jhumkas and rings. Kundan, beaded, pavé and antique-gold finishes, sourced from karigars in Jaipur and Delhi.
Why imitation
Because a bride should be able to wear three different looks across three functions without three sets of gold. Our pieces photograph like the real thing at a fraction of the cost.
How we check
Every piece is inspected by hand before it is photographed: whether each stone is seated, whether the plating is even, whether it is nickel-free and anti-tarnish coated. What it is made of is written on every product page.
